Actress-turned-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt has made a name for herself with some notable films to her credit. But, she never donned the director’s hat for sister Alia Bhatt, who’s treated as Bollywood’s most favorite in these days.
If the latest reports are to be believed, the sisters are going to collaborate for sequel of 1991 film Sadak, starring Sanjay Dutt & Pooja Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt, director of the original film, will produce and write for the sequel and his daughter Pooja will handle the direction. Although the news of Sadak sequel was doing rounds from long time, it seems to have finalized only now after Alia agreed to adjust her call sheets from her busy schedule.
Now that the female lead cast is finalized, the film unit is on scout for lead actor and Siddharth Malhotra is in rumors to grab the offer. An official announcement in this regard is expected very soon. Let’s see how this film turn out!
On the work front, Alia Bhatt is lined up with several projects which include ‘Raazi’ alongside Vicky Kaushal, ‘Gully Boy’ with Ranveer Singh, ‘Brahmastra’ with Ranbir Kapoor.
