Despite that, his film managed to collect over 60 crores in North India alone. His mass avatar and commercial narration of ‘Pushpa’ was immensely liked by everyone. He certainly became a pan-Indian star and all his upcoming films will be getting good money from North India too.
Thanks to ‘Pushpa’ which showcased Bunny’s stamina, insiders say that many Bollywood scripts are coming Allu Arjun’s way. He is reportedly looking into them and politely rejected a few. Film critic KRK recently stated, “South Dub film #Pushpa has done Rs.60Cr+ business in the Hindi belt and it is a Blockbuster! @alluarjun has become a superstar in Hindi also. It’s a huge insult to so-called Bollywood superstars when their films are doing ₹15-25Cr lifetime business only.” Along with praising Bunny, he even took digs at Bollywood superstars. News is that ‘Pushpa’ may touch 80 crores in the North market by the end of its run.
Mythri Movie Makers have bankrolled this project which was released in multiple languages. Sunil, Anasuya and others played key roles. Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine while Malayalam star hero Fahadh Faasil will be seen in a negative role. Samantha did a special item song titled ‘Oo Antave Oo Oo Antave’ which became an instant chartbuster. ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ is set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling and it is released on a pan-Indian scale.
