A few days ago, director Sukumar was diagnosed with dengue fever and the shooting of the film was abruptly suspended. The director is currently recovering from the viral fever under medical supervision. The shooting is expected to resume when Sukumar fully recovers.
Meanwhile, according to some reports, about 20 of the Pushpa cast and crew are reported to have contracted dengue. It is heard that dengue spreading mosquitoes in the outdoor shooting was the reason behind this. An unexpected shock is that lead pair Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna are also said to be affected by the dengue.
However, some reports close to the movie team said that Bunny and Rashmika do not have the symptoms of fever and dengue. They seem to be fine and the shooting will resume very shortly.
The film is being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. Devi Sri Prasad is composing tunes for this high-budget pan-Indian film. Fahad Fazil plays the antagonist in Pushpa.
