Four days back, on October 1, ISRO scientist S Suresh was found dead in his apartment in Ameerpet, Hyderabad. As we learnt earlier, the 56-year-old scientist used to live alone in the residence (Annapurna Apartments) and his wife works in Chennai ever since 2005.
Now, the investigation suggests that Suresh was killed by a man blackmailing him for money in exchange for gay sex. The cops confirmed that the 39-year-old Janagama Srinivas, a Lab technician of a private Pathology lab, has killed Suresh.
The reason is Suresh’s daughter, who works in the US and son in Delhi, made him feel lonely most of the time. Moreover, his financial status were also deteriorating. Taking advantage of this, the accused Srinivas allegedly seduced him using the excuse of collecting blood. Srinivas also expected monetary favours in return for sex. As he did not get the expected amount of money, Srinivas planned to kill Suresh.
It is reported that Srinivas purchased a knife before going to Suresh’s apartment on September 30 at 9.30 pm. They both had sex, followed by an argument over money. Things became worse between the two and Srinivas killed Suresh by attacking him with a knife and causing serious head injuries.
