Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao who fought for the separate statehood of Telangana and took his party towards the landslide victory in two consecutive elections is now aiming for a bigger target. Having created a mark for himself in the state, he wants to make it to the Central level.
The serving Chief Minister of Telangana wants to enter the bigger political arena, the national politics. Making the required steps carefully, KCR wants to gather support from other leaders who are not happy with the BJP. To discuss various things that deal with the alternative third front, CM KCR is all set to meet his counterparts from the other states.
As a positive signal of his alternative front, Telangana Chief Minister got a call from Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. During the phone call, Thackeray invited KCR to Mumbai for a meeting. Having said that, the Maharashtra Chief Minister is said to have extended his support to KCR in his fight against the saffron party BJP.According to the media reports, Uddhav Thackeray and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao are all set to meet on the 20th of this month.
The political experts say that various issues might get discussed during the meeting and the two Chief Ministers might carve out a plan on how to take on the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Things are not going well for the BJP for the past two years. Despite getting a good majority in the second term, BJP is accused of not handling the Covid. Critics say that BJP held massive meetings in poll-bound states without thinking about the Covid and as a result, the cases have gone up.
The Union government’s decision to sell assets to develop the infrastructure did not go well with many states and they are raising their voices against the Centre.
As when the states are not happy with the Union government, KCR had brought a new demand that a third front should be brought and a few leaders also extended their support to the Telangana Chief Minister. We have to wait and see what KCR can do in national politics.
