An activist files PIL alleging media trial against Rhea T

The court rejected Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea after she was captured by the Narcotics Central Bureau (NCB) in alleged drug ring case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. She has been granted for 14-days judicial custody for further investigation.

The actress’ lawyer, Satish Maneshinde claimed that Rhea’s statement to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) was under coercion and currently the plea is being heard in sessions court in Mumbai.

Showik said that he procured drugs on Rhea’s behest where she also paid for it. Since then media has majorly focused the prime suspect ‘Rhea’, where there was continous news coverage about her every move.

Some part of Bollywood fraternity took a stance to show their support towards Rhea and been unduly sharing their solidarity on social media. But the netizens slammed all those who supported, claiming that either they are paid or allegedly invovled in drug mafia.

An activist filed a PIL in the Bombay High Court alleging media trial against actor Rhea Chakraborty. The activist has moved High Court claiming that she is aggrieved and is facing trauma by the parallel investigations by media channels. Earlier a few retired police officers & activists too registered a petition over the media trial.
