And the Oscar goes to A.R.Rehman again?

The Oscar winning Indian musician, Mozart of Madras A.R.Rehman is currently creating waves with his latest outing Mani Ratnam’s Kadal across the country and now we hear that the two time Oscar winner is back on the race. His last Hollywood project “People Like Us” has been shortlisted for the Academy Awards for its original scores. This is among the 106 other musical scores competing for the final nominations. Interesting another Indian composer has also made it into the list. Sreevalsan J Menon, a well-known musician from Kerala, for his work in Roopesh Paul’s Saint Dracula.

A.R.Rehman bagged two Oscars for Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. Nominated again for Academy awards for 127 Hours which is again directed Danny Boyle. This time for the film directed by Alex Kurtzman who has earlier directed the films Transformers, Star trek. It’s sad though no Indian movie made an entry to Oscars this time. Let’s hope for Rehman to bag yet another prestigious Academy award
