The Telangana CM KCR has once again fired on the Andhra political parties and stated that they are the reason behind the weeklong strike of the GHMC contract workers. Speaking in an interaction with the GHMC workers during the call off of their strike, KCR said that he himself had promised to hike the workers’ wages during the Swachh Hyderabad mission.

The TRS Chief then blamed the Andhra region parties and a handful of labour unions are instigating the GHMC workers towards strike to claim the credit of salary hike. KCR also lashed out at the protesting workers and asked them if it was sensible of them to strike during the ongoing Pushkaralu and Bonalu. On Friday, KCR has announced a 47% wages hike for the GHMC workers.

KCR also showered several boons to the GHMC workers as he announced double bedroom flats to at least 1000 labourers every year. KCR said that these flats will be built in the government lands in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. KCR also promised to improve the standards of education and health of the children of GHMC staff.
