AP CS Adityanath Das has written a letter to the DOPT secretary. CS writes a letter on impeachment proceedings against Panchayati Raj department officials.
The letter said the actions taken by the AP SEC were highly objectionable. He said the SEC did not have the power to take action against central authorities.
He said the impeachment orders would be within the purview of the state government as per Rule No.10.
The AP CS letter stated that the AP Election Commissioner had taken illegal orders against IAS officers who are not within his purview.
It is illegal to take such action. He said that the impeachment orders have already been rejected by the state government and the state govt has advised not to consider impeachment orders sent by SEC.
He asked the DOPT to provide instructions and guidance to the SEC.
