It is known that the opposition leaders in AP held a meeting at Rayapudi village in Amaravati area today which is named as ‘Jana Bheri’ demanding the retention of Amaravati as the capital city.
This meeting is being presided over by the TDP Chief and the leader of opposition Chandra Babu Naidu along with Congress AP President S. Sailjanath and the leaders of the Left parties.
On the other hand the arrests have been made by the Police yesterday night itself to suppress the meet. The house arrests of former ministers Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, Nakka Ananda Babu, former MLAs Kuna Ravi Kumar, Nallimilli Ramakrishna Reddy, Bandaru Satyananda Rao took place.
Guntur SP Visal Gunni said in a most unbelievable fashion that though the permission for the meet was granted there were some traffic restrictions being placed in the road leading to the venue and hence the obstruction.
The protestors and the agitators are very much frustrated with this behaviour from the police and the JAC leaders warned of serious action if the Government continued to control their agitation with an iron hand.
