The Andhra Pradesh High court has given a jolt to AP government. The AP government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has been making endless attempts to distribute the land to the poor is facing legal difficulties at every step. The distribution of housing lands has been postponed every time.
Recently, a petition was filed in the High Court alleging that the AP government is allowing mining lands for the poor.
The High Court bench after hearing the petition stayed the order and directed the government to file a counter case on the matter.
The High Court has issued key directions to the state government on the issue of land acquisition for distribution land to the poor.
As part of that, mining lands in the state should not be allocated for other purposes. The High Court commented that the Central Government has jurisdiction over mining lands. And, the Court has issued interim orders on this.
