Arjun Rampal seeks time to appear before NDPS court in alleged drug case

Narcotics Control Bureau’s drug case investigation towards Bollywood actors had apparently lost its steam as greater number of stars are only being set free after getting arrested in alleged drug scandal.

Yesterday Karan Johar’s Dharmatic entertainment ex employee Kshitij Ravi Prasad was granted bail by special court of Narcotic drug psychotropic substances (NDPS) . In this regard, lawyer Satish Maneshinde asserted it as a bogus case. This was followed by another bail for Arjun Rampal’s girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades’ brother Agisilaos Demetriades.

In this case, actor Arjun Rampal was also is under the scanner by the agency officials. NDPS court in Mumbai issued him summons on 16th December (I.e today) to arrive the court for his explanation. But he has requested some time till December 21, 2020, to appear before them.

The actor has been in the probe lead by NCB when Agisilaos Demetriades was captured by the officials from his resort in Lonavala after they recovered drugs. Demetriades was set free on surety of Rs 5000. He was commanded to submit his passport and not to leave the city without intimating the anti-drug agency.

With that Rampal’s residence also was raided a month ago by the NCB officials and now, both he and his girlfriend, Gabriella are being grilled.
