Tekkali MLA Atchannaidu’s arrest is a body blow for the Telugu Desam Party who are looking too weak at this very point. Now, they don’t want to let the ruling party have the upper hand and they can’t even afford any probing into their former Ministers or MLAs or chief.
Now, letting TDP stay in the fight. Atchannaidu’s wife Madhavi Latha came forward to the media and said that the ACB officers jumped over the gates and arrested her husband in the early hours of the day without any information to the family numbers. She in turn said that she was terrified with the way they came into the house.
Now, the reports are out that Atchannaidu’s wife, Madhavi Latha is looking to file a PIL in the High Court to get her husband out and to put the ACB officers under pressure simultaneously.
A Public Interest Litigation may help Atchannaidu when the questions were raised about the way he was arrested and on what grounds the ACB officials took a people’s representative into the custody forcibly whose health condition is deteriorated at the moment.
So, there is a silver lining for Atchannaidu as the ACB officers were said to have gone overboard during the arrest by forcing him into their custody and snatching the mobile phones of his family members and many more. So, how would their determination look in front of the court? That is the major question that will arise if Atchannaidu’s wife files a PIL.
