A tense situation prevailed in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh after bullets were fired at Asaduddin Owaisi’s vehicle the other day. The attack left the tires of the vehicle damaged and a bullet had penetrated through the doors of the Hyderabad MP’s vehicle.
After the attack, the MP spoke to the media on the issue. Speaking to a national media outlet, Owaisi alleged that a mastermind was there behind the attack and went on to say that the plan to eliminate him was discussed at a religious event. He made many heads turn with the comments.
Not just that, All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen(AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi had appealed to the Election Commission to look into the matter and said that the Master Mind should be arrested. He held a religious event responsible for the attack.
According to the Hyderabad Lok Sabha member Asaduddin Owaisi, the Dharam Sansad held in Uttar Pradesh’s Prajay Raj a few days back had a talk of taking his life. The MP also said that the plan is on record and urged the Election Commission to look into it.
“I want to tell the Election Commission that there is definitely some mastermind behind this attack. A few days ago, at a Dharam Sansad in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, there was talk of taking my life. This is on record, it should be seen,” Asaduddin Owaisi said speaking to the outlet.
The Dharam Sansad talked by Asaduddin Owaisi was in the news in recent times for all the wrong reasons. The religious events held in various places are accused of delivering hate speeches. In connection with the same hate speeches, a few religious leaders were arrested by the cops.
The attack on Asaduddin Owaisi’s car happened when he was touring Uttar Pradesh to campaign for the AIMIM for the forthcoming general elections. The attack was reported at the Chhajarsi toll plaza.
Taking to microblogging site Twitter, Asaduddin Owaisi shared the news on his account and said that unidentified men opened fire at the vehicle but they escaped unhurt. The bullets fired at the vehicle have damaged the tire of the MP’s car.
