The ongoing happenings suggest that the producers of “Baahubali” are planning to make a web series on one of the most impactful and unforgettable characters in the film, Sivagami. A whopping budget of around Rs 10 crore has reportedly been allocated for a 15-episode series. An official announcement in this regard is expected very soon.
The backstory of Sivagami, how she became the Queen of Mahishmathi kingdom will be explored in the series. Talented writer-director Deva Katta, who had penned some powerful dialogues in “Baahubali” movie, has been roped in to direct the web series. The shoot is expected to commence early next year. There is no confirmation yet on whether Ramya Krishna would reprise her role in the web series or not.
