In a politically very significant pointer, former minister Jupally Krishna Rao has skipped CM KCR’s itinerary in his home district of Mahabubnagar. His absence is being considered politically significant as Jupally has been sulking over his marginalization in the district politics. But, news reports that Jupally has met two other sulking TRS politicians from Khammam have created quite a commotion in the party.
Jupally went to Khammam and met former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao in the morning and then former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in the evening. Both the leaders are unhappy at being marginalized in the party. Photographs of Jupally meeting these leaders created quite a stir in the TRS.
Jupally has been quite disappointed at the party giving more importance to MLA Harshavardhan Reddy, who joined the party from the Congress. The differences have been simmering and Jupally had fielded rebel candidates in the municipal elections and showed that he has considerable hold in Kollapur constituency.
Both Tummala and Ponguleti too have been sidelined in the party. Ponguleti, a former MP, has not been rehabilitated by the party. Recently, he had an open quarrel with Pinapaka MLA Regulapati Kantha Rao. Since then, he has been sulking. The meeting of these three stalwarts has now become the talk of the town in the TRS circles. The party leadership is keenly watching the moves of these dissident leaders.
