The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) has extended support to the Bharat Bandh called by the farmers against the controversial agricultural farms. Telangana CM KCR supported the bandh and are urged the party leaders and cadre to take part in the protest.
TRS party working President and Minister of MA&UD, Industries, and IT&C KTR followed the Chief Minister’s orders and participated in the agitation called by the farmers.
The IT Minister sat on the dharna holding placards with ‘I Stand With Farmers, Farmers, Not Terrorists’ written on it. TRS Rajya Sabha member Keshava Rao accompanied KTR in the sit-in dharna.
Speaking to the media during the sit-in Dharna KTR said, the agricultural bills passed by the centre are against the interests of the farmers. The bills will not benefit the farmers, the TRS is opposing the bills for the same reason.
Adding further, KTR said the bills will put the rights of the farmers at higher risks. The corporates will only get benefited from the agricultural bills.
Several TRS leaders, including KCR’s daughter and MLC Kavitha, have participated in the Bharat band and extended their support to the peaceful protests.
