Big Debate On Social Media On Jagan’s Chappal Brand!

The Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh are less than one year from now. A war of words is happening between the ruling YCP and the opposition TDP and Jana Sena. Even on social media, we are seeing attacks and counter-attacks. Personal issues are also not spared. The opposition TDP started an overall attack on CM Jagan and his ruling. As there is a talk that the state might go for early polls, TDP intensified its attack offline and online as well.

Recently, an interesting debate is going on online on the cost of Jagan’s chappals. It is said that the chappals are from an Italian brand LVMH. Jagan is wearing Berluti brand sandals that cost around 6153 Saudi Riyals. This translates to Rs 1.35 lakh in Indian currency.

Pictures of Jagan’s Sandals became the target of trolls and memes on social media. Earlier, YCP targeted Chandrababu and his son Nara Lokesh saying that they were drinking Himalayan water bottles when Chandrababu was CM. The party criticized the TDP saying that it costs thousands to buy a single bottle of water. As a counter to YCP’s trolls and attacks, the TDP cadres are targeting the sandals of YS Jagan.

As Nara Lokesh’s Yuva Galam Padayatra completed 100 days, the TDP leaders and party activists are targeting the YCP government.

However, the YCP cadres are saying that people should check the information twice before trolling the CM. Saying that the allegations should be confined to politics alone, and personal aspects like what they are wearing and drinking should not be dragged on.

Netizens and YCP activists are questioning whether Jagan purchased the sandals with the funds of the government. Mentioning the businesses of Jagan, they are asking if he cannot even purchase costly items.

Not stopping there, they are also saying that the cost of the sandals would not be Rs 1.35 lakhs as alleged by TDP, YCP activists are saying even if the sandals are costly, Jagan can purchase them as he has assets worth thousands of crores.
