As the Telugu Desam Party is gearing up for holding its biennial two-day conclave Mahanadu from Wednesday, party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu came in for yet another rude shock.
Two more MLAs of his party are all set to jump the fence into YSR Congress party, most likely by Tuesday evening.
According to highly placed sources, Parchuru MLA Eluru Sambasiva Rao and Repalle MLA Anagani Satyaprasad are going to join the YSRC in the presence of party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Both the MLAs had come to the residence of state minister for power, environment and forests Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and held detailed discussions about their entry into the YSRC. The minister assured to take care of their interests in the government.
There is also a talk that another MLA – Gottipati Ravi Kumar from Addanki is also all set to join the YSRC sooner or later. Apparently, he has also been promised to go ahead with his business activities without any hassles.
Already, three TDP MLAs – Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Guntur (West) MLA Maddali Giridhar Rao and Chirala MLA Karanam Balarama Krishna Murthy – had shifted loyalties to the YSRC.
However, they did not officially resigned from the TDP and join the YSRC, but had only extended their support to the Jagan government, so that they would not lose their assembly membership.
It remains to be seen whether Sambasiva Rao, Satya Prasad and Gottipati also would not join the YSRC officially or quit their assembly membership.
