Bill Gates leaves Microsoft Board


In an interesting turn of events, Bill Gates has stepped down from the Microsoft Corporation board, which was co-founded by him in 1975. With time, the company has turned out to be one of the leading software makers in the world.
“Microsoft will always be an important part of my life’s work and I will continue to be engaged with Satya and the technical leadership to help shape the vision and achieve the company’s ambitious goals,” read his blog
“I feel more optimistic than ever about the progress the company is making and how it can continue to benefit the world,” he said.
Following this, the working CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella issued a statement.”Microsoft will continue to benefit from Bill’s ongoing technical passion and advice to drive our products and services forward,” his statement read.
“I am grateful for Bill’s friendship and look forward to continuing to work alongside him to realize our mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more,” he added.
Bill Gates will also exit from the Berkshire Hathaway Inc., board, which is run by his friend Warren Buffett, with whom he shares a longtime association. Following this, Kenneth Chenault, the former CEO of the American Express Co., will be joining the Berkshire’s board.
