BJP Star candidates Khushbu Sundar, Suresh Gopi file nominations

For the upcoming Assembly elections in various states, the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) is banking on the star power of the actors by fielding them in crucial constituencies.

Firebrand leader, Actor-turned-politician, Khushbu Sundar, an active member of the Tamil Nadu wing of BJP filed her nomination papers from Thousand Lights Assembly constituency.

Before filing her nomination papers, Khusbhu held a massive rally at Valluvar Kottam. BJP activities and cadre of alliance parties took part in the massive rally.

After filing her nomination papers, the actor spoke to the media and expressed her confidence over winning the seat and also thanked Kuka Selvam, who gave her a chance to contest from the constituency by resigning from the post.

As per the election schedule, the Assembly elections will be held for all the constituencies in a single phase. The polls will be commenced on April 6 and the vote counting will take place on May 2.

Veteran Mollywood actor, Suresh Gopi, who is undergoing treatment for pneumonia at a private hospital has filed his nomination from the Thrissur constituency in Kerala.

Talking about his nomination papers, Suresh Gopi said, he has filed nominated after the BJP leadership compelled him to contest in the forthcoming polls.
