In the wake of a few states going for the general elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) which is ruling at the Centre took a massive u-turn on the controversial agriculture bills and announced that the three agriculture bills will be repealed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke the massive news while addressing the countrymen.
The experts are seeing the big announcement from the Prime Minister as an election gimmick. Seeing the election result in a few states, the BJP had changed its decision and decided to take back the bills, the experts opined.
Generally, BJP is known for its headstrong attitude and for not taking back its decision. We have seen the same behavior during the Abrogation of the Article 370 issue. No matter how hard the opposition parties and the parties in Jammu and Kashmir fought against this, BJP went ahead and removed the Article.
But the situation is not the same in the farm bills. The farmers were very strong on their demand and didn’t care much about the climate and protested against the bills. They were marched towards the Red Fort to show their anger against the bills.
We all knew the havoc the controversial Agriculture bills brought up the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) created in the country. From widespread protests to Rasta roko, the farmers have protested the bills intensely. The farmers who were protesting against the bills have been protesting for the last nine months.
By the time, BJP realised that the controversial Agriculture bills cannot be continued in the country, more than 600 farmers have sacrificed their lives in the protests. The BJP should be blamed for this and the sin of taking these many lives lies with the saffron party BJP. As the elections are coming, the BJP is showing fake love towards the farmers.
The recent decision by the BJP had once again proved that the party cares nothing except for the elections. All the decisions it takes are somehow involved with the elections. A recent example of this is reducing the excise duty on petrol and diesel after the flop by-election form in a few states.
