Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been going through a rough phase with back-to-back failures like ‘Bharat’, ‘Race 3’, ‘Dabangg 3’ and recent ‘Radhe’. With none of these films succeeding at the box office, sources say that he is returning to his old formula that brought him super hits. Apparently, Salman Khan planned to remake a hit Telugu film again.
If sources are to be believed, he immensely liked ‘Janatha Garage’ and is looking forward to making its Hindi version. As we know, ‘Janatha Garage’ is a strong story that gives some important social messages. It suits the image of Salman Khan and news is that he will be bankrolling this project in association with the popular Telugu production banner Mythri Movie Makers. If this turns out to be true, it will be Mythri Movie Makers’ maiden Hindi venture.
While this news is yet to be confirmed, grapevine suggests that Salman is on the lookout for a perfect director who can handle this subject in Hindi. He might have chosen Koratala Siva but the star director is busy with ‘Acharya’ and NTR’s project. Mythri Movies on the other hand are making pan-Indian films like ‘Pushpa’ and NTR-Koratala project. There are reports that the production house is planning a film with Prabhas and ‘War’ director Siddharth Anand. This is expected to go on floors in 2023.
