Cabinet Berth To Sabitha, MP Seat To son!

It is more or less confirmed that former home minister and Congress MLA from Maheshwaram assembly constituency Sabita Indra Reddy is going to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi shortly.

Sabita, who along with her son Karthik Reddy met TRS working president K T Rama Rao in the presence of MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi at a private place on Friday, is understood to have been promised a berth in the cabinet of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

At the same time, Sabita is learnt to have asked the TRS leadership for a party ticket to her son from Chevella parliamentary constituency.

However, the TRS president has already finalised the candidature of industrialist and poultry federation president G Ranjith Reddy for Chevella seat.

So, KTR reportedly assured that Karthik would be given the MLC seat and a prominent post in the party. However, Sabita insisted that Karthik be given the MP ticket. KTR reportedly told her that he would take it up with his father and finalise the deal.

In all probability, Sabita will hold a meeting with KCR in a day or two and announce her decision to quit the Congress.

Though PCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy and working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka tried to convince Sabita to stay back in the party, she did not listen to them.

It is learnt she told Uttam that she had faced a humiliating situation in the Congress party and she has to take care of the future of her family.
