Congress High Command from Delhi delighted leaders from Andhra Pradesh by promoting 4 to Union Cabinet posts with the hope of reviving the party in Cong, injecting fresh lease of life in its cadre. It hopes its four union ministers Chiranjeevi, Pallam Raju, Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy and Sarve Satyanarayna will reign in opposition parties mainly TDP and YSRCP which are zooming past it with padayatras in the run up for 2014 elections.
For the first time Cong has given Union Minister post to Film Star while in the past all the cine heroes used to be only Minister of State. Now political analysts are wondering whether this will fetch Kapu community votes with two Kapu Minister Chiranjeevi and Pallam Raju. Similar doubts are raised whether Kotla can bring Reddys back to the cong fold. Cong is having all these questions and many more whether Sarve can attract Madiga votes and whether all of these can counter TDP and YSRCPs strong forays.
