Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in legal trouble as a case has been booked against him for his alleged “insulting” remark on India. An RTI activist, Sandeep Shukla, filed a case against Modi in the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Meena Shrivastava, alleging that Modi had hurt the sentiments of Indians.

During his visit to Seoul few days ago, Narendra Modi had commented that people in India earlier used to think that they have born in India because of some “sin” committed in their past life.

Complainant Sandeep Shukla has submitted a video clip of Modi’s speech to the court as a piece of evidence. The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Meena Shrivastava has fixed the date June 10 for hearing the case.
