CBI probe just a diversion tactic by YSRCP?

The Jagan government has finally responded to the Antarvedi Chariot burning, and has ordered for a CBI probe into the matter, there are several allegations that the government has done this as just a diversion tactic, and not because it really cared about the incident.

Several political leaders have lashed out at the government for not responding to the incident, and some have even stated that the Hindu religion is facing such atrocities in the state because of the Jagan government. Following such comments, Jagan ordered for the CBI probe.

Now, senior politicians and opposition parties are saying that the government should have ordered for a Judicial enquiry if it really cared about the incident, and not a CBI probe. This is because the CBI takes too long to investigate any case, and too long to file any cases. The CBI has been investigating the illegal assets case of Jagan – which has not yet been resolved. The CBI has also been investigating the death of Vivekananda Reddy – which is still going on.

Many are of the opinion that the government did this to get the people and opposition parties off their backs, and not because they really care. On the other hand, Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan had welcomed the CBI probe with open arms and said that he is now confident that justice will be served.

The holy Chariot of Antarvedi’s Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy was burnt after midnight on Saturday, and nothing has been found out yet, about the burning of the Charito. The Chariot has been used for all Rathotsavams and other holy processions for over 60 years now. The government has allotted a total of Rs. 95 Lakhs for the making of a new Chariot, which is to be ready by February, 2021.
