In what it could be a hammer blow to the TDP, the party suffered a major setback in the civic body polls.TDP failed to win the Municipalities and Corporations where it had a good hold.
TDP Chief, former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reacted to the humiliating loss of TDP in the Municipal polls. He thanked the cadre and leaders who worked hard in the campaigning activities.
Chandrababu lauded the party leaders and activists who worked hard for the party and mentioned that in some places, the leaders even risked their lives. No need to feel bad about the election result. We fought really hard despite threatenings and warnings. Let us take forward our fight to solve problems faced by the public.
Adding further, the TDP chief said they can emerge victoriously in the coming elections if they can work with the same spirit.
Chandrababu used the same opinion when the party lost the local body elections, including Kuppam, his Assembly constituency. In both the occasion, he alleged the ruling party for wrongdoings to attract the voters.
The TDP is going through one of its worst phases currently. Back to back election losses made the party even weaker.
