As Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has time and again reiterated that his party will contest the 2019 Assembly elections, there is huge curiosity over whether it will form an alliance with TDP or go alone.
It is known that Jana Sena didn’t contest the 2014 elections but gave outside support to TDP. Pawan campaigned for TDP-BJP alliance in AP, and played a crucial part in TDP prevailing over YSRCP. However, in the recently concluded Nandyal by-poll, which TDP won very convincingly, Jana Sena remained neutral, letting TDP go on its own.
Following the victory in by-poll, TDP supremo and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu was asked if his party would contest the 2019 elections without the support of Jana Sena since it easily won the by-poll without Pawan’s support. In response, the CM has given an ambiguous answer.
“We can’t make any comment until Jana Sena comes up with its agenda and manifesto. We are ready to work together with any party which intends to serve people,” he said.
In fact, Pawan Kalyan also sings same song whenever he is asked about forming alliances with other parties. As of now, both the leaders are neither denying nor accepting the possibility of forming an alliance. Nothing can be ascertained until Pawan takes an active plunge in politics.
Meanwhile, people of AP are closely watching the political moves of Pawan.
