Bollywood’s actor Shah Rukh Khan recently donated 2,000 PPE kits on behalf of Meer foundation to frontline health workers in Chhattisgarh. Bollywood badshah received heart warming response from Chhattisgarh minister.
Lauding him for the kind gesture in these tough times, state minister T S Singh Deo tweeted regarding the same publicly. He also thanked actor Rajshri for connecting Shahrukh’s NGO to the state health board.
“I express my heartfelt gratitude to @iamsrk & @MeerFoundation for providing PPE kits to protect our frontline warriors. Thanks @rajshriartist for connecting us and making this possible. Your generosity has inspired many more to protect our healthcare heroes”.
In the tweet, the minister attached a copy of acknowledgment from the directorate of health services while addressing the Meer foundation(founded by SRK) to the director, Geetika Hazari. It mentioned that the critical need is to have adequate medical equipment, which enables large scale testing in case of emergency. The department appreciated the humanitarian relief provided by SRK and Meer foundation in response to covid-19 relief.
To which the actor promptly replied saying that he and his foundation had been trying to help fellow brothers and sisters in these times and shared his best wishes to the minister for any such future endeavours in this regard.
