As announced earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Moan Reddy had increased the amount given to the beneficiaries of YSR Pension Kunaka, a scheme that was aimed at old-age people. The hike in the pension amount came into effect from today.
An event was held by the government today to mark the occasion of increasing the hike in the pension amount. While launching the same, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made key comments.
CM Jagan expressed his dissatisfaction over a few people making a scene of every move the government is making to benefit the poor in the state. They made it a habit of creating issues no matter what the government does. They even had a problem with the implementation of the English medium, he said.
On the occasion, CM Jagan had finally broken his silence on the much-talked-about movie tickets issue and said they are criticizing the move to reduce the movie tickets to make the tickets available to common people.
I don’t know what they got against benefiting the people. The government is aimed at benefiting the people and poor and for the same, the decision to reduce movie tickets was taken to make entertainment affordable. But people have problems with that too, added the Chief Minister.
