CM KCR to hold a review meet to present the revised secretariat building plan

Recently after High court rejected the petition filed by few advocates against the Telangana government, it shared all the necessary clearances and gave a satisfactory answer to high court to not disallow the demolishing of the building. The government said necessary permits would be provided, once it commence the building plan.

In this aspect, Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday will conduct a review on the construction of the new integrated secretariat complex including its interiors, exteriors and other blocks. A high-level meeting will be chaired by CM KCR with CMO officials to mull over the precise changes for the building design.

Minister KCR opined that the Secretariat, the administrative center of the state, should be a symbol of Telangana’s prestige, grandeur and glory. The modified designs will be discussed in Tuesday’s review. What should the Secretariat look like? What should the facilities inside be like? etc will be suggested.

The finalised design will be presented at the state cabinet. Subsequently, Tenders will then be availed and construction of the building complex will commence. The review meet will be attended by Minister Prashant Reddy, Chief Secretary, Engineering Officers, Architects- Oscar and Ponni from Tamil Nadu.

Prior to this meeting, the CM will review on the irrigation department development today to amalgamate major, medium, small, irrigation development corporation and package wise units under one wing.
