Actor Kamal Haasan must now be realising that acting in films is far too easier than doing politics. His party, Makkal Needhi Maiyam has turned out to be a flop movie. All the candidates, including the party chief Kamal bit the dust. In many places, the candidates lost their security deposits. What was expected to be a blockbuster ended up as a super flop movie.
Soon after the decimation of MNM party, key leaders have begun deserting the sinking ship. Key leaders like AG Mourya, Muruganandan, CK Kumaravel and Uma Devi left as soon as the assembly election results were out. Party vice president Mahendran left after a few days. Now, the party has no leader worth the name. But, what is surprising is that almost the all the leaders are levelling the same allegations while leaving the party.
Mahendran said that Kamal did not know how to run a political party. He said Kamal Haasan does not believe in democracy. Kumaravel too said that Kamal was behaving like a one-man-army. He said that soon after launching the party, Kamal’s behavious has seen a sea-change. . He said that Kamal was behaving like a despot. Another leader said that Kamal did not work for any other constituency. He had worked only for himself. He had lost and his party leaders too had lost the elections, they said.
