“Coming to India feels like coming home”!

Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir and Salman are concerned about the rising intolerance in India and poor Aamir Khan’s wife was so worried that she asked her husband whether they ought to be leaving the country. And the sad part is that when someone criticizes the Khans even after they made these depressing statements, he or she is still labeled intolerant or communal.

And at the other end of the spectrum, we have Pakistan singer Adnan Sami who has successfully acquired Indian citizenship. When a reporter quizzed Adnan Sami on whether he felt India was intolerant, he replied, “If India was intolerant, then why would I apply for citizenship? I feel absolutely safe in India and that’s why I chose to become a citizen of this wonderful country.”

He further added, “I have lived all across the globe but coming to India feels like coming home.” So, there it is in a nutshell! A Pakistani feels absolutely comfortable with applying for Indian citizenship but ordinary folks born and bred here and made into superstars by the people of India, feel the atmosphere not conducive to the safety of minorities.

Is it the irony that is always inherent in India or is it a case of just three celebrities having a problem with the wiring in their heads?
