The recent New Year celebrations saw the Telangana excise see record sales and broke previous records. Special arrangements were taken by the concerned authorities to see that no unwanted scenes take place. Bars and other establishments were directed to take early permission for the events.
The Police department kept a tab on various establishments to see if any banned activities were happening or not. This resulted in cops arresting two drug peddlers. It is said that they were arrested red-handed while selling drugs.
If we have to take anything from the media reports, the two arrests were made by the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) and the Ramgopalpet Police on the first of January on New Year’s eve. As part of the special drive, the arrests were made.
Mohit Agarwal(30) and Manyam Krishna Kishore Reddy were arrested by the cops. It is said that the two take drugs from drug peddlers and distribute the same tpo customers. The arrested people reportedly used Google Pay for the transactions.
Mohit Agarwal’s arrest raised many eyeballs as he is the husband of actress Neha Deshpande. He is believed to be the close aide of drug kingpin Edwin Nunes who was arrested earlier in connection with an alleged drug case.
As per the reports, Mohit coordinates with DJs and uses them as a platform to provide drugs to customers. As Mohit is also said to be a DJ himself he might use the contacts to get in touch with them to do business.
The concerned cops are reportedly looking at the network of Mohit and others in the alleged drug case. Further details are awaited on the investigation of the case.
