The first Test match between India and Bangladesh has concluded in just three days. The hosts displayed a dominant performance in both batting and bowling and did not give any room for the visitors. This made India win with an innings to spare and 130 runs.
Having won the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first. In the first innings, they were bowled out for just 150 runs on the first day and then followed India’s innings. Though star batsman Rohit Sharma failed, another opener Mayank Agarwal went on to make double century and he was assisted by Pujara, Rahane and Jadeja who scored half centuries. At the end of day two, India were at 493 runs for the loss of six wickets.
The day three began with captain Kohli declaring the innings and putting Bangladesh to bat again. Indian seamers kept taking wickets at regular intervals which rattled the Bangladesh batting order. Except from Mushfiqur Rahim none of the Bangla batters stood in the crease for long.
Finally Bangladesh were bowled out for 213 runs. Mayank Agarwal has been rewarded with Man of the Match award for his brilliant innings with the bat.
