Crucial Meet: Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu on Bandh

The ongoing controversy between ‘digital service providers’ (Cube, PXD, UFO, Scabble) and exhibitors, producers which led to indefinite strike of film screening in theatres across 5 states (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala) that is likely to incur crores of loss has reached its pinnacle. Amidst this, the distributors, producers had earlier today called on a press conference and reiterated the whole issue of how VPF charge across world is zero excluding South.

In order to settle this controversial issue, the two contentious parties have met and discussing now in Geetha Arts. Apart from Suresh Babu, C Kalyan and several producers have met Aravind and discussion is going on now. It’s reliably learnt that Aravind and other stake holders of digital service providers have come forward to reduce VPF charge.

A possible outcome is expected very soon as both parties are likely to resolve amicably. If all goes well, the strike of film screening from tomorrow would be called off. Finally, it’s going to be a happy ending.
