Otherwise silent MLA from the tribal areas Rajanna Dora of Salur assembly constituency has suddenly become very active in the agency area politics. Though a three-time MLA Rajanna Dora is known to be very low profile. But of late he has become very active on the issue.
In fact Rajanna Dora is holding meetings and consultations on the issue of formation of Manyam district. Interestingly deputy chief minister Pushpa Srivani too is a tribal minister. But she is very silent on the issue. He has not spoken either in favor or against the proposal to carve out Manyam district. Sources say that she has all along been maintaining a low profile in the constituency.
Sources say that Pushpa Srivani is unhappy with the proposal to make Parvathipuram the headquarters town for the Manyam district. He has strongly supported the case of Kurupam. She felt that if Kurupam becomes the district headquarters it could benefit the tribals of the region and improve amenities and facilities in the constituency.
There are also reports that Pushpa Srivani could be replaced when the cabinet reshuffle is taken up. IN her place Rajanna Dora could be appointed as minister. Rajanna Dora has been with the YSR family since 2009. He was elected MLA in 2009 2014 and 2019 from Saluru. Sources say that Rajanna Dora could replace Pushpa Srivani in the cabinet. Is this why Rajanna Dora has become suddenly hyperactive
