Distributor-producer Dil Raju, who has initially come forwarded to distribute Mahesh Babu’s Spyder in Nizam on advance basis, has had change of mind in the last minute. Ahead of the film’s release, Raju has bought the film’s rights on outright basis for a whopping Rs 20 Crore.
This is a huge amount for Mahesh film in Nizam. Given that Mahesh is one of the top crowd pullers in the region and his previous films Srimanthudu and Brahmotsavam have been sold for over Rs 14 Crore, Dil Raju has invested a huge amount on Spyder for Mahesh-Murugudoss combo. However, going by the latest trend, the film may incur him a huge loss anywhere between 8 to 10 Crores.
Although it is too early to predict, trade analysts opine that the loss would be there for sure. Mixed reviews and lack of heroism in Telugu version seem to be working against the film. One has to wait and see where the film would end in its entire run.
