The Central Election Commission has given a shock treatment to political biggies Amit Shah and AP CM KCR. It has imposed election code even in the constituencies adjoining the constituency going to polls. the aim is to prevent huge public meetings in the constituencies close to the constituency that has a bypoll. As a result, KCR and Amit Shah will not be able to hold public meetings lose to Huzurabad.
It may be recalled that to escape Election Commission’s restrictions over huge public meetings in Huzurabad due to Covid situation, both KCR and Amit Shah were planning to hold huge rallies in the adjacent constituency, where there are no such restrictions. The plan was to mobilise huge crowds from Huzurabad to these meetings. However, the Election Commission has busted their plan by extending the poll code to nearby constituencies too.
Sources say that KCR is now holding parleys with the party workers and thinking heads as to what to do in the wake of the Election Commission’s fiat. Sources say that KCR could undertake road shows on November 26 and 27 in Huzurabad. KCR is said to have decided to campaign in Huzurabad at any cost as the battle has now become very prestigious. He wants to pull all stops and ensure that the TRS candidate wins the election in HUzurabad.
