Election Promises of TN Parties have Gold, Cable TV, Washing Machines, what not everything

The election promises of the political parties in Tamil Nadu are always interesting to watch. The political parties always target housewives and households before the elections.

The political parties in Tamil Nadu are applying the same strategy for the forthcoming Assembly elections. The election promises of the parties attracted the attention of the national media too.

Ruling AIADMK which is going for the polls without Amma Jayalalithaa promised a government job for every family, washing machine, Cable TV connections for the families living below the poverty line.AIADMK made an alliance with BJP.

Well, the ruling party didn’t stop there. The government even promised solar stoves and six LPG cylinders to every family if they were re-elected to power in the upcoming Assembly polls.

On the other hand, the Stalin-led DMK party came up with the election promise to bring down the LPG Cylinder price by Rs 100 if they were voted to power. The party had also promised a tablet for every school and college student studying in state-run institutions.

There are some promises made by the parties that are in common, like increasing the maternity leave period to one year and waiving off the educational loans if they come to power.

Focusing on the women voters, the opposition DMK had promised to provide a sum of Rs 24,000 under maternity assistance, while the ruling AIADMK promised special patrol vehicles for the safety of women. These vehicles were named Amma Patrol vehicles.

With the election promises getting viral, the people from other states are also waiting eagerly to know which party will make it to the government in the upcoming general elections.
