The dragon country China is known for taking shocking decisions. We often hear concerns about human rights and freedom from the nation. Despite saying that Covid was not originated in China, the ruling party went for zero policy and everything came to a standstill. With protests from people, the policy was eased.
Yet again the country took a shocking decision that grabbed everyone’s attention. As per the media reports, China is in plans to give access to single women to take IVF to get pregnant. They can also get the facilities married women get as far as the children are concerned.
It is known that India recently surpassed China in population. The fertility rate coming down in China played a big role in this. To counter this, China is coming up with new ideas and schemes. Recently, we heard that colleges in China gave leaves to students to find partners and fall in love.
As another big step, China reportedly trying to give IVF access to single and unmarried women as well. Like married couples, they can also take paid maternity leave and receive child subsidies. The IVF services would be made available in public hospitals and private hospitals as well.
It is said that women are showing interest in taking the facilities as they can avail the special benefits. If everything goes well then China will bounce back and see its population increasing again. China is hopeful that the scheme will give fruitful outcomes.
China’s population dropped for the first time in six decades due to various reasons like strict guidelines such as the single-child policy and imposing high taxes on families who has more than one child. China realised the danger and is coming up with such decisions.
