As we all know, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, a Malayalam blockbuster which released earlier this year is being remade in Telugu. Sithara Entertainment, who bagged the remake rights of the film started zeroing in on the right director to handle the project. Sudheer Varma, Harish Shankar, and Sagar Chandra were the front-runners to helm the project.
Our exclusive reports suggest that Sagar Chandra has been finalized as the director of the remake and he even received an advance amount from the producers.
Sagar Chandra previously worked on Sree Vishnu’s ‘Appatlo Okadundevadu’ and ‘Ayyare’. He earned a name for himself by churning out witty comedy capers.
The pre-production works for Ayyappanum Koshiyum Telugu remake were commenced yesterday. Sithara Entertainment will be making an official statement in this regard very soon.avit
Ravi Teja and Rana Daggubati will be reprising the roles of Biju Menon and Prithviraj in the original respectively. The original was directed by Sachi who sadly passed away very recently.
