The TDP is or rather has been good at trolling right from the time when Chandrababu Naidu took over the party in 1995. In fact, the silent coup in Viceroy Hotel in 1995 against the party founder late NTR was built on trolling or Goebbels.
Be it the truth or false, the TDP rank and file is good at taking it deeper into the people. They repeat a point and Chandrababu Naidu believes that such an exercise works like a slow poison into the minds of the people.
In the last two days, the TDP had been trolling chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on bleaching powder and paracetamol as safety precaution to fight to dreadful corona virus.
People across the world are using face masks and sanitizers for personal cleanliness, which is accepted world over.
If sanitizers are for personal cleanliness, the bleaching powder is used across the world for cleanliness of the surroundings for generations.
Even today, the sanitary staff use the bleaching powder along to drains and spray the liquid in the drains and open water bodies to keep the area clean.
Like personal sanitizers to help individuals to be clean and germ-free, bleaching powder is used for cleanliness of the places, a first step to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
The symptoms of corona include cold and cough and paracetamol has been the proven medicine for ages to cure cold, cough and fever.
Forgetting or rather undermining these facts, the TDP has been unleashing the campaign heckling the chief minister for prescribing bleaching powder to keep the places clean and paracetamol to reduce the impact of cold and cough, the first and basic steps required to keep corona at a distance.
It is just a political mind-game that the TDP plays on the people to target the rivals or take its point to the people.
The irony is that chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy or his YSR Congress party, which had won 151 Assembly seats and emerged as strongest and unquestionable party in the State politics, is far behind in countering the malicious campaign or the spread of Goebbels.
The ruling YSR Congress has to up its sleeves in the social media to save its image and that of the leader from the onslaught and trolling by the opposition.
