Father’s Sacrifice Is Wasted By Son?

East Godavari ZP chairman Jyothula Naveen, son of Jyothula Nehru, is under criticism. Naveen’s recent moves to do centenary celebrations of East Godavari ZP has backfired when he and his aides had sought funds from Mandal Parishad Development Offices to conduct the event on a grand note. Though Naveen is not directly involved in this, allegations are rife over the funds collection and this eventually led to non-cooperation from several MPDOs for the event. It’s buzzed that Naveen has been wrongly guided by a few of Nehru’s previous arch rivals who said to have smartly misled Naveen.

Meanwhile, Jyothula Nehru is a senior politician in the district who has good hold on the district and TDP. Although he was the most-eligible MLA to be inducted into Naidu’s cabinet, he had sacrificed it for the sake of ZP chairman post for his son Naveen.

Now, Naveen failing to earn good name like his father and failing to follow his dad’s footsteps is widely discussed in the district and within the party. Jyothula Nehru has been with the TDP from longtime and is close to Chandrababu. But upset over a few incidents in the party, Nehru had quit TDP and joined Chiranjeevi’s PRP in 2009. After Chiru failed to run the party and merged it with Congress, Nehru tried his best to comeback to TDP. But a few seniors in TDP had opposed Nehru’s return. With no option left, Nehru had joined YSRCP in 2014 polls and even won as the MLA.

Nehru, who had been wanting to be a minister from longtime, was settled as Deputy floor leader in YCP. Interim, he had sought Jagan to the Chairman post of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), a cabinet-rank post, but Jagan reportedly didn’t care Nehru and even allegedly insulted him not considering his experience, seniority. Finally, after a lot of dilly-dallying, Nehru had returned to TDP. During his comeback, Chandrababu said to had promised Nehru with ministry post to him. When Nehru had also sought ZP chairman post for his son Naveen, Naidu agreed to fulfill only one among the two wishes. And much to everyone’s shock, Nehru had left his unfulfilled dream – from longtime – of becoming minister for the sake of his son’s political future and settled with ZP chairman for son Naveen.

Amidst allegations over his style of functioning, indiscipline and lack of command over ZP are said to be earning a bad reputation to Naveen and Nehru. Nehru is also apparently worried about Naveen who is allegedly misguided by Nehru’s rivals indirectly. All these issues said to have reached Naidu who is also apparently upset with Jyothula Naveen. While Naidu has been invited for the Centenary celebrations of ZP, Chandrababu is maintaining distance from Naveen, East Godavari ZP. Even during his recent visit to the district, Naidu stayed away from the ZP. All these have turned headache for Jyothula Nehru.
