Renowned Telugu writer Sri C.S. Rao(85) breathed his last in Hyderabad today. He is known for his works in Telugu films. He penned several plays and novels as well.
He penned stories for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s debut film Pranam Khareedu, Kukka Katuku Cheppu Debba, National Award winning film Oorummadi Brathukulu, Nayakudu Vinayakudu, Malle Moggalu etc. films.
He also acted in NTR’s ‘Sarada Ramudu’ and Singeetam Srinivasa Rao directorial ‘Sommokadidhi Sokokadidhi’. He had won several awards for his extensive services to drama industry.
He trained several actors in his long career. He has been working as the correspondent of Geethanjali School, Chikkadpally, Hyderabad.
Sri C.S.Rao is survived by a daughter and two sons. Mr. Rao’s elder son is presently staying in Singapore and he is unable to visit India due to the travel restrictions.
His family members are requesting industry friends and well wishers to respect the lockdown restrictions and not to visit their home personally to express their condolences.
The last rites will take place on Wednesday in Hyderabad.
