Filmmaker Playing With Fire Ignited by Poster Controversy?

Madurai-born filmmaker Leena Manimekalai became popular for the infamous reason of allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus with her controversial poster depicting the Hindu deity Kaali in an objectionable manner. The poster created a big uproar on social media and the microblogging site Twitter took down her tweet in which she shared the poster.

This made many feel that the controversy might get sorted out. But the filmmaker asked the social media giant of all the objectionable tweets will also be removed and even shared another picture that shows people in the avatar of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvathi smoking.

The new pic added fuel to the controversy. Now she is saying that she is not feeling safe anywhere at the moment. In her tweet, she said the largest democracy in the world had emerged as the hate machine. Without taking any names, she indirectly spoke about India.

Though the alleged threats against her are not appreciable. The way she is behaving in connection with the row looks like she is playing with the fire. As if the controversy is not enough, she ignited another one by sharing a new pic. While sharing the pic, Leela said that after performing any play, the actors do chill by smoking and no one knows that.

No one understands, what made her post such pictures and face the ire of everyone. After making the post, she is now saying that she is not feeling safe anywhere, though she is not living in India.
