Finally, Balayya Says Sorry For His Comments

As protests against his derogatory and sexist comments against women during Savitri audio launch are gaining strength with each passing day, film star and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna has finally apologized to those who are hurt with his comments.

In a statement this evening, Balayya said that he has immense respect towards women and that he had no intentions to disrespect women. Balayya requested everyone not to see his comments in sexist view and reiterated that he treats every woman as his own family member.

Balayya continued saying that he imbibed the virtue of respecting women from his father. Talking about his controversial comments, Balayya said he was only making those remarks in the film’s context. He further extended his women’s day wishes to all his ‘sisters’.

Meanwhile, apart from the political dissent, a lawyers’ JAC in Hyderabad has today filed a complaint against Balakrishna and stated that they will move the court if necessary action is not taken again the actor cum MLA.
