Finally, at long last, the BJP is happy in West Bengal. Congress Party’s most important leader Rahul Gandhi is going to campaign in West Bengal. He will campaign for his party in the fifth phase of elections. He has not campaigned in the first four phases.
Now that he is campaigning, the BJP circles are happy that Rahul’s speeches, his utterances and comments will help them in a big way. Till now, Rahul Gandhi has stayed away from West Bengal in the first four phases. He would now campaign for the Congress-Communist alliance. Interestingly, no national leader from the Congress has campaigned for the party so far in West Bengal. Neither Priyanka Gandhi, nor any national leader, including the G 23 group, which rebelled against the Congress leadership, have campaigned for the party.
Even for the Communists, leaders like Sitaram Yechuri and D Raja have not campaigned for the Left parties so far. As of now, the Congress-Left are like orphans and are leaderless. But the problem is that arrival of leaders like Rahul Gandhi is going to pose more problems than solving the existing ones.
