Popular Telugu actor Nithiin, seeking to bounce back from his recent box office disappointment “Extra-Ordinary Man,” has announced a new project titled “Thammudu” on the occasion of his birthday.
This announcement comes amidst the production of another film, “Robinhood,” which reunites Nithiin with director Venky Kudumula after their successful collaboration on “Bheeshma.”
“Thammudu,” produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, has generated significant buzz by borrowing its title from Pawan Kalyan’s iconic film. While the new film is not a remake or connected to the original in any way, the title recognition is expected to pique audience interest.
The recently unveiled first-look poster showcases Nithiin in a fierce avatar, wielding a spear atop a crowded bus. The imagery evokes a sense of mystery and hints at a potential action-oriented role for Nithiin, a departure from some of his recent portrayals. The makers describe “Thammudu” as a story driven by ambition, courage, and determination.
Sriram Venu, known for his work on “Vakeel Saab” and “MCA Middle Class Abbayi,” takes the directorial reins for “Thammudu.” The film boasts a strong technical crew featuring music composer Ajaneesh Loknath, editor Prawin Pudi, and cinematographer Sameer Reddy.
With a captivating title, a fresh directorial collaboration, and a promising narrative focus, “Thammudu” has raised expectations for Nithiin to deliver a critical and commercial success, breaking his recent box office dry spell.
